As a Senior Engineer – Projects and Support – Enterprise Electronic Security, you will manage and execute complex security projects for enterprise-level clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring electronic security systems’ successful implementation, integration, and support.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Project Management: Leading end-to-end project management activities, including project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and timeline management. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are achieved within scope and on schedule.
- System Design and Integration: Working closely with clients to understand their security requirements and designing tailored electronic security solutions. Integrating various security systems, such as access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and alarm systems, to create a comprehensive and cohesive security infrastructure.
- Installation and Commissioning: Overseeing electronic security systems’ installation, configuration, and commissioning. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices while considering client-specific needs and requirements.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Providing advanced technical support to clients and troubleshooting complex issues related to electronic security systems. Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems, collaborating with technical teams, and utilising available resources to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Documentation and Reporting: Creating comprehensive documentation, including system design specifications, installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting manuals. Generating regular reports on project progress, system performance, and service activities.
- Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by understanding their business objectives, providing exceptional service, and delivering solutions that meet their needs. Acting as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on security best practices, technology advancements, and regulatory compliance.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensuring all project activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Performing quality checks and audits to verify system functionality, performance, and adherence to specifications.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and end-users to educate them on electronic security systems’ operation, maintenance, and best practices. Sharing knowledge and expertise with internal teams to enhance overall technical capabilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost optimisation within the project delivery lifecycle. Proactively seeking feedback from clients and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing and executing enterprise-level electronic security projects.
- Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Proficiency in system design, integration, installation, and commissioning methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in electronic security systems.
- Project management skills, including planning, organising, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in electronic security.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM)
